MS Canadian designs ...

It is definitely not a secret that I love everything about the fine arts … from writing and music to drawing/painting and observing the artwork of others. I played around with the idea of creating an art boutique last year; however, for varying reasons, I was discouraged and found myself in a season where I couldn't enjoy anything I drew, painted, wrote, or played at the piano. So, I stopped.

I found joy and pleasure again this year with all things pertaining to art … as I began to draw & paint everything from grapevines to narwhals, I was home with my art again. Oil paints & pastels. Watercolour pencils & paints. Copic markers. Acrylics. I began painting & drawing on whatever I could. Canvases, art paper, typing paper, notebook paper, Post-It notes, sermon notes … and even rocks! The joy returned after I took that first step to create again! On this journey, I've developed some deep, lifelong friendships with many new people. One such lady is Krystal … she said: "There is enough room in this world for everyone's unique gifts, talents and passions. Just because someone else is doing it doesn't mean you shouldn't." This one statement is what began to change the trajectory of my art journey. As a result, I began to revisit this art store idea. The decision to launch an online store through my website/blog was finally made … I had to come up with a logo & name. The desire to honour the lives of those who have encouraged my art and the continuing pursuit of it returned. It seemed the best way to honour those who have encouraged this pursuit was to choose Mississippi Canadian Designs (MS Canadian Designs). My home is Mississippi & some of my greatest encouragers are from or have lived around Mississippi. Canadian represents a land & a people I’ve not met face-to-face … who have been the inspiration I have needed to do what I love.

Over the next few days & weeks, artwork samples will be uploaded to the MS Canadian Designs ​page. Most anything can be custom made. No piece will ever be an exact replica of another like item. Every canvas, card, and picture is hand drawn & then coloured/painted/etc. Shipping is available within the United States and limited shipping is available to Canada.
